Pioneer Plaza is a 2-building facility located at the crossroads of Albany Shaker Road and the highlight traveled Wolf Road in Albany, NY.  The park consists of a 60,000 SF office building which includes the headquarters for Pioneer Bank and also a 215 room dual brand Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott hotel.

How the project began…
The Pioneer Headquarters is a prime example of First Columbia’s vision and expertise in Development and our commitment to making sure a business’s building and location enhances in profitability.

Located on 2nd Street in downtown Troy, Pioneer was challenged to grow due to space constraints, transportation deficiencies, no visibility, and separate offices. Working with our team, we quickly identified a strategic location at one of the area’s busiest interchanges at Wolf Road and Albany Shaker Road, perfect for a bank looking for convenience.

We designed a striking building, incorporating digital LED messaging in the architecture to change a 150 yea old company’s image. We brought together all it’s employees under one roof, created dynamic work environment for its workforce, and delivered easy identification and access for it’s visitors and customers. The results are remarkable. In just a few short months from opening, business is booming and Pioneer is on it’s way to it’s best year ever.
