Century Hill Works is the newest co-working space in Latham, New York developed and designed by First Columbia. The new space provides a professional space for businesses, freelancers, startups, remote workers and more.
The new corporate shared workspace and private office facility is located on the first floor of 22 Century Hill Drive at Century Hill Plaza. It offers more than 7,300 square feet of private offices, conference rooms, shared space, a break room and other amenities for members.
“We pride ourselves on being a corporate environment,” said Kevin Prunty, development real estate analyst at First Columbia LLC, which owns the Century Hill Plaza office park. “We’re right off Interstate 87, surrounded by Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies. There’s free parking out front.”
With the growing need of co-working becoming an increasingly popular option for businesses and freelancers within recent years, First Columbia decided to add this type of office use to its larger real estate portfolio. Since the rise of the covid-19 pandemic this type of space will become more sought after as tenants in private suites don’t have to commit to long-term leases and will have more flexibility in their real estate strategies.
Century Hill Works provides private offices for lease from month to month to annual leases making it an affordable option for companies. Shared workspace and desks are also available to those who only need a desk for a week, a day or a few hours.
The space was originally scheduled to open March 1st but, due to the pandemic First Columbia decided to postpone the opening and re-design the space to better fit the “new normal.” The co-working space includes spacious social distanced desks and furniture which includes dividers between desks, upgraded cleanliness safeguards, extra protocols in place such as hand sanitizer stations, masks, and signage used to notify desks that have been used. Another item that was added to help keep the space safe which may differentiate the co-working space from others was the installation of five HEPA filters that are strategically placed around the space and meeting rooms to filter and decontaminate air floor. This is a huge component to keeping the quality of air flow throughout the space in a healthy state. To add to this the space is full of large live plants a natural air filter that provides clean oxygen.
Century Hill Works officially opens in January 2021, but five of the private office suites have already been rented. Ten others are still available. Monthly rates range from $550 to $1200.

The conference rooms and open area also can be used for corporate training and other off-site meetings and events.
